We are pleased to announce that Lovegrove has completed the fuel systems, general electrical and fuel systems electrical to Perkins Builders at the BP Muchea site.

The project was safely delivered on time. The commissioning and handover milestones were achieved within the construction programme of what is likely to be the largest retail petroleum facility in Western Australia.

Successful project challenges include:

• The tank excavation required the removal of 4500 tonnes of excavated material, approximately 1.6km of underground fuel pipework and 6.5km of electrical conduit across two separate canopies and the tank farm. This site sports 13 Wayne dispensing units installed and calibrated by Lovegrove.
• Due to the high groundwater level, we dewatered to under the tank bases in the area of the tank farm. The tanks were successfully received, inspected, installed, and backfilled with bluemetal. Lastly, the new fuel and fuel electrical system inclusive of the Wayne dispenser installation was completed.
• Our electrical teams subsequently wired the shop and canopy, feature lighting, car park lighting and the fuel systems electrical, utilising our specialist hazardous area electrical trained staff.
