Lovegrove recently had the pleasure of working for Building Solutions as a subcontractor to complete the BP Innaloo project. We were responsible for the decommissioning of the existing fuel system and installation of the new fuel system, fuel system electrical and general electrical. We are pleased to announce that the project was safely delivered. The commissioning and handover milestones were achieved within the construction programme.

We successfully decommissioned, degassed and removed the existing underground storage tanks and one above ground LPG tank. Once the site was cut to the new levels, we then began excavation works for the new storage tanks. During the excavation, we dewatered to reduce the level of the groundwater in the area of the tank farm. We also addressed the occurrence of acid sulphate soils that are present in the general area, using lime dosing and bitumen coating of the tank anchors. We also treated the dewatering spoil.

We were then ready for the two tanks, which were successfully received, inspected, installed, and backfilled. Lastly, the new fuel and fuel electrical system inclusive of the Wayne dispenser installation was completed.

Our electrical teams subsequently wired the shop and canopy, the carwash and the fuel systems electrical utilising our specialist hazardous area electrical trained staff.
